  very knowledgeable and experienced staff ..always keep up with the latest and greatest tackle ..i highly recommend from novice to expert for all your fishing needs ..if the fish are biting they will put you on the .. canoe row/motor boat and kayak rentals available ..public boat launch for $4.50 with summer hours 6am to 8pm mon-sun

  The Octoraro reservoir is a great small-medium size reservoir, great for bass fishing and the bait shop is building on that fact, large source of natural structure, weed, and gizzard shad so it's geared for some great fishing. They are also well known for great Crappie water and Catfishing is quickly growing with large Channel cats coming from the depths of the lake. For all of your fishing needs, Jim Neary's Bait and Tackle is geared to help you with every issue.The shop has a great owner who is constantly working to help make the lake a better fishing experience, and pushes for his workers to do the same. Any fishing questions from "where can I get a license" to "What are some good senko rigs for this lake" can be answered with pleasure. Constantly updating their fishing report, and updating every customer on lures and baits that are working well. Jim Neary's Bait and Tackle is by far the best in the area for live bait, and shows in how well they maintain and package their live bait. The bait shop is fairly inexpensive, and offers a lot of quality goods with even more quality staff help. I would (and do) recommend this bait shop to anyone in the area.
